A Weekend at the Sanborn Sunflower Field in Sanborn, NY.
August 30th, 2020
I was so excited to spend my whole day at this Sunflower Field in Sanborn, NY. It was such a bright and beautiful day and it ended with an incredible sunset. The first family I shot that day was Courtney’s family. Although the little one gave me and mom a run for our money, we still got great in the moment shots. I was worried that the field would be crowded with people but we had access to spaces where the view was just perfect!

It was around 2:30pm when the sun started to get brighter and hotter. It made it super difficult to try and figure out how we would manage with the sun in our eyes, but eventually the clouds got in the way of the sun and our second family of the day was able to get great photos!

Our third family of the day had arrived but as the sun was still high up and bright we decided to walk around the trails to find the perfect lighting. Hailee’s daughter was the highlight of the day! As we were shooting, she would constantly make funny faces to lighten everyone’s mood. It sure was a great session with this family.

After the sun started to set, our last session just had begun. This beautiful couple wanted to use some props that they had brought with them for their sessions. Although, we got great shots with all the cute props, we got some beautiful romantic shots as the sun was starting to set.

Overall, these mini sessions were SO much fun! I live for different ideas in different locations.
My first ever Sunflower Minis were such a success, I can not wait to do it again next year!
